Oualification:

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To ensure the configuration, implementation, and maintenance of various technologies managing the back-end systems that run the infrastructure to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in accordance with BPC standards. To provide 3rd level deep technical assistance through the service desk for issues relating to infrastructure systems which include Active Directory, MS Exchange and System Center.


Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field

Minister of Youth, Sport and Culture Thapelo Olopeng has announced that successful youth owned businesses that were financed by the ministry through the Youth Development Fund YDF will be re-financed to boost their businesses.

Minister Olopeng made the announcement at the ongoing Youth Business Expo in his opening remarks, where he explained that re-financing is crucial as it will ensure growth of the youth owned enterprises.
Olopeng further stated that the re-financing will create employment opportunities for other young people.

• Issues stock and non-stock items to end-users as per requests.
• Captures stock requisitions on the system to update the records.
• Reports deviations between actual stock levels and those indicated in the system for ratification.
• Receives, checks, distributes and bins stock items in accordance with standard storage practices.
• Creates bins for new stock items in accordance with the Mine's storage standards.
• Inspects all the bays to ensure adherence to the Mine's storage standards.
• Contacts suppliers in case of discrepancies for corrective action. • Captures received invoices in order to generate goods received notes (GRN).
• Collects materials ordered from suppliers to ensure the availability of requested items.
• Dispatches materials to suppliers for repairs, replacement, credit, etc.
• Files documents and ensures that all information is available and accessible.
• Completes and processes dispatch documentation for materials leaving the Mine area.
• Operates warehouse machinery and equipment e.g. Fork Lift to load and off load materials according to Mine standards.
• Adheres to and promotes safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:
Degree in Engineering
Possess five (5) years practical experience ideally with experience in Engineering Project management

MAIN DUTIES
Implementing PUMA standards for Procedures, Quality and HSSE.
Provide leadership in project planning and execution
Ensure that all projects and equipment maintenance meet National Legislative requirements pertaining to HSE.
Responsible for all maintenance and projects quality issues throughout the country. Ensure that our engineering activities are meeting required engineering specification and standards
Ensure that all our equipment at customer sites and depots are available to our operations and that this is maintained to the required standards.
Accountable for effective preventative and breakdown maintenance program for all Puma assets at the customer site and depots.
Prepare engineering operational reports including cost analysis and other KPI’s, and preparing a monthly benchmarking of the terminals and retail/B2B sites.

GABAAKANYE HAS BEEN EXECUTED

Patrick Gabaakanye of Marulamantsi ward in Serowe was executed yesterday at Gaborone Central Prison following a conviction for murder.

A statement from Botswana Prison Service's public's relations officer, Senior Superintendent Wamorena Ramolefhe, says the High Court sentenced Gabaakanye to death on March 13, 2014.

The statement says Gabaakanye's criminal record included two offences of robbery and murder. He killed a security guard using a hand gun during robbery and was sentenced to 10 and 15 years imprisonment respectively for both offences.

It further says Gabaakanye was also convicted for the murder of a 75-year-old man at Gamosusu land in Metsimotlhabe in Kweneng District on May 26, 2010.

His appeal against conviction and sentence was dismissed by the Court of Appeal on July 30 last year, says the statement.
