TEMPORARY ASSISTANT PROCUREMENT OFFICERS (20 Positions)

VACANCY CIRCULAR NO 3 OF 2016

OVERVIEW
The Ministry of Environment, Wildlife and Tourism aims to protect the environment, conserve the Country's natural resources and derive value out of environment for the benefit of Botswana.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Botswana Citizens to apply for the above posts tenable within different Districts(Gaborone, Central, Chobe, Ngamiland, Ghanzi, Kgalagadi, Southern, Kgatleng, Kweneng, Francistown, Northeast) in the Ministry of Environment, Wildlife and Tourism.


SALARY SCALE: C3 (P84,924 - P101, 496) per annum
LEAVE: 25 working days per annum

REQUIREMENTS* QUALIFICATION:
Degree in Supply or Procurement Management or equivalent qualifications.


EXPERIENCE: Not Required.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To prepare, distribute and consolidate tendering documents.

DUTIES:
Prepares tender and invitation to bid documents.
Receives bids and conducts public bids opening.
Distributes bids to the Tender Evaluation Committee.
Responds to questions, complaints and requests for information from prospective bidders.
Ensures timely availability of supplies, services and works to users
Facilitate for the efficient disposal of assets
Ensure that there is compliance with PPADB procedures
Ensure quality of supplies ,works and services procured
Ensure efficient payment for procurement transactions
Ensure that there is planned and coordinated procurement and asset disposal plan/schedules
Undertakes any other related duties as may be assigned by Management.
