FINANCE MANAGER
PURPOSE
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the person will provide strategic direction and leadership to the Finance Department and ensure overall financial management of assets in order to facilitate optimal returns for the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and implement finance policies, procedures, systems and standards.
• Develop and implement robust internal controls to enhance the performance of the company.
• Lead the budgeting, forecasting and business planning processes.
• Prepare, analyse and present monthly management accounts.
• Prepare statements of financial position.
• Oversee annual external audits.
• Manage the cash-flow of the company.
• Ensure compliance with taxation and other related legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Provide key financial information to inform strategic business decisions.
• Track key financial performance indicators (KPI's) on an ongoing basis.
• Lead the finance team in operational excellence.
• Implement procurement and contracts management
REQUIREMENTS:
• Hold a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent qualification, plus CIMA or ACCA.
• Be a member of BICA in good standing
• Possess a minimum of five (5) years hands-on post qualification experience in a computerized accounting environment, with three (3) years experience at senior management level in a business environment.
• Possess extensive hands-on experience in management and cost accounting.
