PLANT TECHNICIAN-KBL Opaque
SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that plant machinery is in a good state of repair and functions efficiently at all times such that down time is minimized.
REQUIREMENTS:
• BGCSE
• 4 year NCC in Mechanical Fitting
• 2 years on the job experience.
KPA
• Monitors the performance of Utilities equipment and plant machinery.
• Diagnoses faults/defects and carries out the necessary repairs.
• Prepares job cards and work reports.
• Effects service and repairs to machinery as per laid down procedures.
• Obtains the appropriate spare parts and undertakes the necessary repair work, including overhaul of boilers and servicing of beer tanks.
• Reviews reports compiled by Boiler Operators during shifts and takes necessary actions.
• Maintains safe, healthy and risk free working environment.
• Ensures that all tools are stored in a secure place and that regular checks are conducted.
• Keeps stock of maintenance tools and equipment and reports anomalies.
• Contributes to team and self-development.
• Demonstrates the ability to identify problems that need to be resolved.
