Job Summary

To teach the “whole child’ by attending to the intellectual, emotional and physical development of the students.

Minimum Requirements:
4 year diploma/degree in Education, specializing in Early Childhood Development or Junior Primary School Phase.
A minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in an English Medium School.
Knowledge of the Letter Land program is essential
The applicant should be a dynamic self-starter and confident, in the ability to instill a desire to learn in students.

Key Performance Areas:
Be able to initiate and develop the broader extra-curricular programme of the school.
Have excellent administrative and interpersonal skills.
Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate and use, both in learning activities and in imaginative play.
Attend to children’s basic needs
Teach basic skills such as gross motor and fine motor development.
Teach basic skills such as letter and number recognition, social and hygiene skills.
Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and field trips
