Premiership League leaders Township Rollers stunned nearest rivals Mochudi Centre Chiefs with a convincing victory at Francistown Sports Complex in an exciting Mascom Top 8 “tse ditona” semi final first leg that was packed to the rafters on Friday night.
Galagbwe Moyana, Maano Ditshupo and Gofaone Tiro’s goals cancelled out an early Tendai Nyumasi penalty, giving Popa Popa a critical 3-1 away lead in the two legged tie.
Rollers were the better side on the night, not allowing Chiefs to play their normal game in the middle of the park, while also attacking their opposition with intent.
The two sides will complete the Mascom Top 8 semi final with their 2nd leg contest at the same venue on the afternoon of Saturday, March 12.
