Mochudi Centre Chiefs confirmed a protest against Township Rollers

Mochudi Centre Chiefs have confirmed that they have filed a protest against Township Rollers after they used midfielder Ofentse 'Size 10' Nato in the first leg of Mascom Top 8 semi final on Friday night. Rollers thumped Chiefs 3-1 in an entertaining match played at the Francistown Sports Complex.
.
"It is true we are protesting the use of Nato. BFA CEO (Kitso) Kemoeng released a directive that there shall be no player registered outside the transfer window. And BPL has no right to authorise the signing of any player without a consent from The Status Committee," said Clifford Mogomotsi on Monday morning. "This is the similar case we had some years back when BPL authorised the signing of David Makakaba and we went on to lose the points," Mogomotsi added.
.
According to Article 5.2 of Mascom Top 8 rules and regulations, Any team which uses an improperly registered player (defaulter) shall be guilty of an offense and liable to pay an amount between P20,000 and P50,000 and automatic disqualifaction from the tournament.
.
"People need to understand that we are not bitter about the results but the rules have to adhered to. Gilport Lions have also filed the same complaint following their loss against Rollers in the League," Chiefs spokesman said.
